EIOPA establishes new stakeholder groups

The members of the two EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) stakeholder groups were announced today.

The two newly formed stakeholder groups are:

  • The Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group
  • The Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group

Each group includes 30 members. The groups are established to facilitate EIOPA’s consultation with stakeholders in Europe on regulatory issues and technical standards. The groups may notify EIOPA if EU law is inconsistently applied, or if there are inconsistent supervisory practices in member states.
